Literature and Digital Media
Literature in digital media refers to literary works produced and distributed through electronic platforms such as e-books, websites, and social media. Its importance lies in democratizing access to literature, fostering new forms of storytelling, and enabling interactive engagement with audiences globally.
Through the use of
technology, it innovates new applications, social networking sites, and
publishing works and information online.
Digital Literature
Digital literature encompasses literary compositions tailored for digital platforms, frequently integrating multimedia components like text, images, audio, and interactive elements to enrich storytelling and reader interaction. This genre is commonly referred to as electronic literature. Facebook posts shared by people and Webnovels are the best examples of digital literature.
Unlike traditional and written literature, digital literature is widely accessible through creating and publishing one's works on the internet for the people to see publicly, not to mention on how they react to it. It has become convenient for everyone in modern times.
There are jobs offered
that are related to literature in digital media such as: social media manager;
closed captionist; proofreader and copywriter; among others.
